According to James Ducker, Manchester United have agreed a £75m fee with Everton for Lukaku.
United are also in the market for striker after they released Zlatan Ibrahimovic and have identified Lukaku as a suitable replacement.
Jose Mourinho had been chasing a deal for Real Madrid star Alvaro Morata but it appears a deal for the Spaniard has proved to be tougher to agree.
Chelsea have been eyeing Lukaku as a replacement for Diego Costa but the Spaniard is no closer to leaving Stamford Bridge as the Blues’ pursuit of their forward striker continues to stall.
United still need to agree personal terms with Lukaku but they’ve certainly got the upper hand in the race to secure his signature.
