Barcelona have opted against a move for Manchester United target Antoine Griezmann this summer.
According to AS, Barcelona will not sign Griezmann this summer but could change their minds at the end of next season.
Barcelona have a good relationship with Atletico, AS claims, which could hinder Manchester United’s chances of signing the Frenchman next summer.
Griezmann’s agent, Eric Olhats, confirmed that Atletico had received an offer from Manchester United earlier this year, but the deal never materialised.
Barcelona are set to rake in a world-record €222m for Neymar after he completes his stunning move to PSG in the coming days, with some having touted Griezmann as a potential replacement.
Griezmann has been linked to pretty much every top club in Europe you can think, which is no surprise given his form over recent seasons.
The Frenchman was the top scorer at the European Championships last summer for France and has scored 60 goals in 111 league games for Atletico.
His agent has also confirmed that Real Madrid, Manchester City and Chelsea have been interested in his client.
Manchester United have already broken the bank for a forward this summer, signing Romelu Lukaku for £75m from Everton.
