Europa League winners Manchester United will take on this year’s Champions League winners Real Madrid in today’s Uefa Super Cup in Skopje, Macedonia.
Manchester United beat Dutch side Ajax in the Europa League final back in May, with goals coming from Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Real Madrid demolished Serie A Champions Juventus 4 -1 in the Champions League final this year, with victory coming from a Cristiano Ronaldo double as well as goals from Carlos Casemiro and Marco Asensio.
If United are to beat Real in the Uefa Super Cup final then it shall be the fourth time in the club’s history that they’ve won four trophies within such a short space of time, having won the Europa League, Community Shield and EFL Cup last season.
Real’s Champions League victory provided the club with their 12th European trophy and back-to-back Champions League trophies.
The two sides have already met this pre-season with United beating Real on penalties after a 1 – 1 draw in the International Champions Cup.
