It was another efficiently ruthless performance from Manchester United, as they dispatched Swansea City 4-0 at the Liberty Stadium, with three goals in the last ten minutes.
José Mourinho made no changes to the side that beat West Ham to start the Premier League season last weekend, but the Reds laboured against a compact Swans side and only found the breakthrough on the stroke of half-time. Paul Pogba headed against the crossbar from a corner and Eric Bailly tapped home the rebound from a yard out.
In the second half, Swansea turned on the pressure and it looked at one point as if it would end as it did so many times last season with United conceding. However, the game exploded into life in the last ten minutes, as the Reds sealed the three points with some ruthless finishing.
On 82 minutes, Henrikh Mkhitaryan fed Romelu Lukaku, who made no mistake. Two minutes later, Paul Pogba finished off a flowing United move with a delicious dink and substitute Anthony Martial rounded off the scoring, putting it in the corner after being played through by Pogba.
Eight goals, six points and two clean sheets. It’s all looking rosy for the Reds at the moment and they continue to top the Premier League table. Here are the player ratings from the Liberty Stadium:
