Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has lauded Ander Herrera for his impact in the 4-0 win over Everton on Sunday.
The Red Devils continued their unbeaten start to the season with a comprehensive victory over Ronald Koeman’s men. Antonio Valencia gave them an early lead, before a late flurry saw Everton capitulate. Goals from Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Romelu Lukaku and a penalty from substitute Anthony Martial helped United to a thumping win.
However, it was Herrera who Mourinho singled out for praise, with the Spaniard having made a positive impact from the bench.

As quoted by the Mirror, Mourinho said:
I think Ander was important, he gave us the stability that we were losing a little bit and then was only possible, in my view, 1-0 or 2-0, I never thought in the last 15 or 20 minutes it could be 1-1.
The 2-0 come and after that the third and fourth goals are just a consequence of a team that was sad and another team that was happy, for me the third and fourth goal were a little bit out of context in the game.
Herrera has found first-team football hard to come by this season following the impressive start to life made by Nemanja Matic. However, it is evident that Mourinho still regards him as a key component of his United side.
The Red Devils will hope to secure a routine win against Burton Albion in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.
