Manchester United cruised through into the fourth round of the Carabao Cup with a 4-1 victory over Championship side Burton Albion.
A double from Marcus Rashford saw the Reds race into an early lead, before goals from Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial put José Mourinho’s men in an unassailable position, with a consolation for Burton in injury time via Lloyd Dyer.
It was an entertaining and professional performance from the Reds, as the Old Trafford crowd was given a Wednesday night to enjoy from the dazzling football on display, and the holders will now go on to face Swansea City in the next round.
