Manchester United manager José Mourinho praised his side for a professional performance as they comfortably sailed through to the next round of the Carabao Cup with a 4-1 victory against Championship side Burton Albion.
Goals from Marcus Rashford, Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial punctuated a dazzling performance from the Reds in all aspects, and the holders now go on to face fellow Premier League side Swansea City in the next round.

Speaking to Sky Sports in his post-match interview, the United manager praised his side’s professionalism and enjoyed his side’s commitment to the cause:
Sometimes players in these cup matches are not professional. But that was an extremely professional performance.
We gave no chance to the opponent. I think Burton fought for a result that allowed them some dignity and Nigel [Clough] made it clear their game at the weekend was more important.
I learnt nothing new. They all want to play and are ready to play. I enjoy that commitment.

Mourinho also praised the contribution of his front four and was pleased that his side were enjoying their football at the moment:
Martial was good, Mata was good, Lingard was good. Everybody in attacking areas gave a good dynamic to the team and especially happiness. We look happy playing football in this moment and that’s what I want.
United now turn their attention to the Premier League, as they travel down south to play Southampton on Saturday afternoon, before a long midweek trip to face CSKA Moscow in the Champions League.
