Chelsea vs Manchester United: Combined XI

In the lead up to big games, such as the one between Chelsea and Manchester United on Sunday afternoon, there will always be arguments over squad depths, team strengths, managerial decisions and the like.

Instead of merely letting the storm pass us by and taking a back seat from such squabbles, we’ve decided to weigh straight into the argument once more with another Combined XI.

It goes without saying that United and Chelsea are two of the strongest clubs in the Premier League, with one being in second place right now and the other being defending champions.

That makes such an XI difficult to compose, to a certain degree. Therefore, we’ve decided to use only players who are available for selection on Sunday in our XI.

For the sake of argument, yes that does include N’Golo Kante, who is being touted for a return to action, but we can’t include the likes of Marouane Fellaini or Paul Pogba whose return dates are much more ambiguous.

With that in mind, here’s the XI in question, in a 3-4-3 formation…
