Young coy over the possibilty of a new deal

After his impressive display against Watford, Manchester United defender Ashley Young has admitted he is yet to agree a new contract to keep him at Old Trafford, the Manchester Evening News report.

Young, 32, is out of contract in the summer, however, United reportedly want to keep hold of the player for a further 12 months, activating a clause in his current contract.

After striking twice in United’s 4-2 win against Watford on Tuesday night, Young spoke to the media about his future.

I’m just concentrating on things on the pitch, that’s all I can do, go out there and play well and see what happens.

Young has recently become a revelation at left back, earning himself an England call-up earlier this month for the first time in four years and has helped boss Jose Mourinho over one of his major position headaches.

With Young impressing in every game, his form could earn himself a longer deal to keep him at Old Trafford, rather than the 12-month activation in his current deal.
