After suffering two defeats in their last three Premier League games, Manchester United knew that a defeat to Chelsea last weekend would see them drawn right back into the battle for the Champions League places in the Premier League.
As it happens, goals from Romelu Lukaku and Jesse Lingard helped United to a 2-1 win over the Blues but results over the weekend have seen United fall behind Liverpool into third place and sit just one point ahead of Tottenham in fourth.
United need a strong end to the season if they are to avoid being reeled in by Chelsea who sit six points back of Jose Mourinho’s side and tonight’s game with Crystal Palace presents a great opportunity to move back into second.
In the reverse fixture, United cruised to a 4-0 victory at Old Trafford and will be hoping for a similar result tonight. Here is our predicted XI.
