Manchester United managed to hold on to record a 2-1 victory over rivals Liverpool, giving the Red Devils a five point lead in the table.

Marcus Rashford netted twice for United, helping them to strengthen their position in second place int he Premier League table.

Rashford, who was making his first start for United since Boxing Day, had a huge impact in the game, but it was Romelu Lukaku who was instrumental in both goals, helping United to a big win.

Liverpool would get a goal back through an own goal for Eric Bailly. The Ivorian turned Sadio Mane’s cross past De Gea while attempting to clear at the near post, giving the reds a goal.

United would hold on to take all three points however, in what is an important week. United go to Sevilla on Tuesday, before facing Brighton in the semi-final’s of the FA Cup on Saturday.
