PSG hoping to beat United to Casemiro

Paris Saint Germain are plotting a big-money bid for Real Madrid’s Casemiro as they hope to beat Manchester United to the player, talkSPORT reports.

Jose Mourinho’s side have been linked with the Brazilian and have reportedly asked about his availability in the past.

However United now look set to face stern competition from Ligue 1 giants PSG in the fight for the player’s signature.

The defender has a release clause in his contract of £173million, and although PSG don’t believe it would cost that much to land the defensive midfielder they are still reportedly prepared to break the bank to secure his services.

PSG are looking for a long-term replacement for Thiago Motta and believe Casemiro could be the answer, but United are also looking to have a busy transfer window this summer as they look to close the gap to rivals Manchester City who were crowned Premier League champions at the weekend.

Casemiro is a key part of the Real Madrid squad and has started 25 of the club’s La Liga games this season.
