Former Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic appears to be missing his former boss Jose Mourinho following his move to the MLS to join LA Galaxy, according to the Independent.
Ibrahimovic’s contract was mutually ended by the club, allowing for him to secure a likely final move of his career to the MLS.
Ibrahimovic struggled with injuries during his time with United, leading to the Red Devils signing Romelu Lukaku from Everton in the summer.
Mourinho worked with the Swedish star at Inter Milan as well as at United, with the pair striking up a strong relationship.
Ibrahimovic instantly had a strong impact when he joined Mourinho at United, netting 26 goals in his first season at Old Trafford.
The La Galaxy star spoke in a recent message to the United fans:
“I want to say to all the fans: ‘I miss you, I miss playing at Old Trafford and seeing all the red shirts’. I have great memories from there.
“I want to thank everybody for the push, adrenaline and energy you gave me. I want to thank my team-mates also because you have been fantastic and you made it easy for me.
“Coach [Jose Mourinho], I miss you also. You know what you need to do to win. There is no secret behind that.”
