Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has prioritised the transfer of defender Alex Sandro as he looks to bolster his defensive options ahead of next season, according to the Manchester Evening News.
United had already shown a heavy interest in both Danny Rose from Tottenham and Kieran Tierney from Celtic but Mourinho is now believed to favour a move for the Juventus man this summer.
A number of other Premier League clubs are set to move in on Tierney this season and United would face tough competition for his signature, meaning Mourinho may choose to look elsewhere.

Luke Shaw is looking increasingly likely to leave United at the end of the season and Mourinho feels that Sandro could be the perfect replacement.
Sandro is unlikely to make Brazil’s World Cup squad this summer with him having only earned 11 caps to date. Sandro would there be able to join United on their pre-season tour in July.
