AC Milan have tabled a three-year contract offer for Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini, according to a report from ESPN.
The Italian giants have been linked with a move for the Belgian international in recent weeks and if reports are to be believed, they have accelerated their pursuit by offering Fellaini a lucrative deal to make the switch to Italy.
Fellaini’s contract at Old Trafford expires in the coming weeks and although United are keen to tie him down to an extended deal at the club, the ex-Everton star is keeping his options open.

Clubs from both Turkey and China have been linked with swoops for Fellaini but it appears as though the midfielder has his eye on remaining in one of Europe’s top leagues.
ESPN state that United have offered Fellaini a one-year extension at the club with an option of extending this deal for a further 12 months.
However, Milan’s proposal is seemingly more financially rewarding, with the report indicating that the offer from the Serie A outfit is more compliant with Fellaini’s wage demands.
