Manchester United target Fred has suggested that he will wait until after the World Cup before he makes a decision on his future.
The £52m deal for the Brazilian was looking close but it would appear the breaks have been put on.

Pep Guardiola’s Man City were also after the 25-year-old in January but it now appears that United are the favourite’s to sign the Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder.
Jose Mourinho wanted to get the deal over the line before the start of the World Cup on June 14thbut it looks as though he may have to wait as the Brazilian player has stated he will wait until after the World Cup.
Maybe after the World Cup I will make the choice,
he told reporters at a Brazil press conference.
Now, I am only thinking about the World Cup.
Fred has been at Shakhtar for five years now but he wants to prove himself in the Premier League. It looks like he will join Manchester United but it may have to wait until after the World Cup.
Club legend Michael Carrick has now retired and Marouane Fellaini looks set to leave Old Trafford on a free so Jose needs to strengthen the midfield, with Fred being the number one target.

Spurs centre-back Toby Alderweireld is another player that Jose hopes to sign before the start of the World Cup, however, Pochettino has signed a new deal with Spurs so that make keep the Belgian defender in North London.
