Manchester United are edging closer to completing a deal to sign Diogo Dalot from FC Porto, according to claims from the Telegraph.
Dalot has been an impressive player for Porto since emerging on to the scene and it appears as though the Red Devils are closing in on a transfer for the player.
It’s claimed by the Telegraph that Dalot has a release clause in his contract worth just £17.5 million, with this option having recently been triggered by United.
The 19-year-old has established himself as one of Liga NOS’ most impressive young talents in recent times following his breakthrough into the Porto first-team.

Dalot is also a well-established international for the Portugal Under-21 side, with United impressed by his recent exploits.
Jose Mourinho has been on the lookout to sign a new right-back for some time now, with Matteo Darmian likely to seal a move to join Juventus in the coming days.
Dalot is expected to be considered a first-team option, but it is unlikely that he will displace Antonio Valencia from the starting line-up.
