Manchester United are closing in on the signing of Porto defender Diogo Dalot, with the full-back set to undergo a medical once a fee has been finalised, according to MailOnline.
The Portugal Under-21 international has been receiving treatment for a meniscus injury while United have been negotiating his £17.4million release clause.
Seen as competition for Antonio Valencia at right-back, Dalot will come in as Matteo Darmian departs, with the Italian soon to complete his £11.5million switch to Serie A champions Juventus.

Dalot broke into Porto’s first-team in February, having excelled with Porto B this season. He is versatile and can also play at left-back, which he has done ever since breaking into the senior squad.
He even lined up for the Dragons in the club’s 0-0 draw with Liverpool in the Champions League knockout stages earlier this year.
With youth international football pedigree, the 19-year also looks destined to become a full fledged international. He helped Portugal win the European Under-17 Championships in 2016, scoring twice in five games, including the final against Spain.
