Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian has revealed that he wants to leave the club to go back to the Italian Serie A in search of regular playing time, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
The full-back has been a backup option for Antonio Valencia in the right-back position and he is eager to get more playing time next season, which is something he believes he will not get at Old Trafford.

The former Torino defender is open to moving back to his home country and plenty of teams are said to be interested in securing his services, including Inter Milan and Napoli.
When speaking about his current situation, Darmian said:
I believe Mancini is a winner, and the right choice for Italy’s national team. I’ll try to deserve a starter shirt, but it’s not easy at United. My agent knows what I want. Juve, Inter or Napoli? It’s not my role to answer that question.
I’ll move for the best solution and I’d consider all possibilities. One year ago, I was close to return to Italy but Mourinho and the club didn’t want to sell me so nothing happened. An important proof of esteem, but I’m now looking for continuity.
His time at United looks like it’s coming to an end, especially after the Red Devils signed teenage right-back Diogo Dalot.
