Following Manchester United’s draw with Italian giants AC Milan in the clubs third game of the US Tour, Matteo Darmian expressed his desire to leave the club in search of regular football.
This afternoon, Italian outlet Calciomercato are reporting that Napoli have made a move to bring the former Torino full-back back to Serie A.
Darmian has been linked with a host of clubs such as AC Milan, Inter Milan and Juventus and it appears that Napoli are the latest team keen with Napoli president Aurelio di Laurentiis stating they have made contact with United in a radio interview in Naples.
I do not know, We’ll see. We have asked Darmian on a loan with a right of redemption.
With the transfer window closing in two weeks, it looks increasingly likely that Darmian will not be at Old Trafford for much longer with United eager to sell to free up funds to bring in further signings.
