Barcelona set 48-hour deadline for United target Mina

With the transfer window shutting in just nine days, Manchester United are still chasing defensive reinforcements.

Having been linked with Harry Maguire and Toby Alderweireld for most of the Summer, it seems as if Barcelona’s Yerry Mina may be the man Jose Mourinho and Manchester United turn to.

Mina, who impressed for Colombia at the World Cup, joined Barcelona in January but has struggled to hold down a regular position in the team; and as a result, he is keen to move in search of regular football.

However, according to Italian outlet Calciomercato, Barcelona have set a 48-hour deadline for United to conclude a deal for the centre-back.

It is thought that Mina prefers a move to the Premier League, with French side Lyon and Everton also linked with a move.

This report suggests that a bid of £35m would be enough to prise Mina away from the Nou Camp.
