Timothy Fosu-Mensah poised for European loan move

Manchester United defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah is poised to join Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin on a season long loan, according to the Daily Mail.

Fosu-Mensah, who spent the whole of last season with Crystal Palace, has featured in three of United’s five pre-season fixtures, including starting in the most recent 2-1 win over Real Madrid.

However, despite impressing against Madrid, the 20-year-old is now set to head to Germany and join up with Hertha Berlin in search of regular game time.

Fosu-Mensah made 24 appearances for the Eagles last year and helped Roy Hodgson’s side to safety after a poor start to the campaign and was again linked with a return move to Selhurst Park.

United boss Jose Mourinho is desperate to move numerous players out and add to his squad ahead of the new season with multiple big name signings.

Leicester City’s Harry Maguire, Barcelona’s Yerry Mina and Chelsea’s Willian have all been strongly linked with a move to Manchester, however, Fosu-Mensah doesn’t look like he will be a part of Mourinho’s plans this season.
