Manchester United are eyeing a January move for German attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil.
According to The Express, via The BBC, United are plotting a swoop for Ozil once the transfer window reopens.
Jose Mourinho is already thinking about ways to strengthen his side for the second half of the season and is considering Ozil to improve his midfield.
Ozil signed a new contract with Arsenal earlier this year but faces an uncertain future at the club with plenty of speculation over his head.

Teams in Turkey are also thought to be interested in Ozil, who will not be short of options should he decide to leave The Emirates at any point.
Ozil scored in Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Newcastle this weekend, with Granit Xhaka scoring the other goal for Arsenal.
The 29-year-old retired from international football earlier this year after accusing the German national federation of being racist.
