Manchester United were held by newly promoted Wolves at Old Trafford, with Nuno Espirto Santos’ side frustrating the hosts.
United fans were given a treat before the game, with Sir Alex Ferguson making his return to Old Trafford after having emergency brain surgery recently.
The former boss would not be pleased by United’s performance however, as they were held by Wolves to a 1-1 draw.
Fred got his first goal for United to open the scoring in the first half, before Joao Moutinho got the equaliser for the Black Country side in the second half.
Here’s how we rated the United players.
David de Gea - 7
United’s saviour yet again. Pulled off some fantastic saves.
Antonio Valencia - 5
Did well at the back but was very poor going forward.
Chris Smalling - 6
Smalling was solid again.
Victor Lindelof - 5
Looked poor dealing with the Wolves attack.
Luke Shaw - 5
Probably won’t be Shaw’s best game in a United shirt.
Marouane Fellaini - 6
Good game from the Belgian.
Fred - 6
Scored his first for the club and was close to a second but for the woodwork.
Paul Pogba - 5
At fault for the Wolves goal but did set up Fred for United’s goal.
Jesse Lingard - 6
Alexis Sanchez -3
Very poor game from the Chilean, subbed rightfully.
