  • Casemiro close to joining Inter Miami
  • Set for stunning wages in MLS
  • Rejected interest from Saudi Arabia and Europe

Casemiro is set to leave Manchester United this summer after his contract runs out at the end of the season. He has been linked to a host of clubs, and the Brazilian has decided on the Inter Miami offer.

The 34-year-old is free to negotiate with clubs, and he has been in talks with the MLS side. The MLS Eastern Conference side has reportedly reached an agreement with the former Real Madrid star.

Casemiro is currently United’s highest earner, reportedly earning £350,000 per week (via Capology). He will only take home more money should he indeed make the move to DRV PNK Stadium.

Mega Money Deal For Casemiro

According to a report in Brazilian outlet RTI Esporte, David Beckham’s side have offered to double the Brazilian star’s wages. He is set to earn a stunning £70 million from a 2-year deal, which expires at the end of the 2027/28 season.

The report states that an official announcement is expected after the FIFA World Cup, but a verbal agreement is in place. His agents have met with the MLS side several times, including during his time in the United States for the recent friendlies against France and Croatia.

If he moves to Florida, Casemiro will therefore play with Lionel Messi for the first time in his career as a teammate rather than as an opponent. The pair locked horns during the height of the El Clásico rivalry during the mid-2010s to early 2020s.

How Close is Casemiro to Joining Inter Miami?

Fabrizio Romano recently spoke on his YouTube channel and said that rumours of an offer from Manchester United to keep him at the club beyond the summer were far from the truth. He added that the decision to leave was mutual, and they are not expected to go back on it.

“He said these would be his final games for the club. And that’s the reality: Casemiro will leave on a free transfer this summer. Now, from what I’m hearing, Manchester United didn’t approach him in recent weeks to say: please stay one more season, let’s fight for the Champions League together. No – this is a mutual agreement. It’s time to move on.”

Romano added that Casemiro is looking forward to his next adventure and has several clubs chasing him. He said that the LA Galaxy are also interested in the MLS, but Inter Miami are leading the chase.

The Italian journalist added that Saudi Pro League clubs are also interested, while some European sides are also looking to lure him.

“For Casemiro, a new adventure. For United, an opportunity to save a huge salary and reinvest in at least one – possibly two – midfielders this summer. And already, there’s strong interest in Casemiro. There have been calls from MLS clubs, including LA Galaxy and Inter Miami.

“Saudi clubs remain keen – they’ve wanted him since two years ago, remember. European clubs too, although wages could be an issue. So, plenty of options on the table. Casemiro will take his time, talk with his agency and family, and choose not just for football reasons – but for personal ones too.”

Casemiro has yet to put pen to paper, and Inter Miami are currently without a manager after Javier Mascherano resigned this week.
