Nani linked with Theatre of Dreams reunion

He may be back on loan in his native land with Sporting Lisbon at this very moment in time but Nani is still making himself known to all of English football and more importantly Manchester United Football Club.

This has been down to his fantastic form this season with Sporting and in particular his recent sensational strike, against Gil Vicente. The strike prompted emotional scenes from Nani as he broke down into tears after the goal.  He stated that the emotions were down to personal reasons but did divulge that he received a text from United Chief Executive Ed Woodward, “I receive some texts from Ed Woodward. He texted me about the goal and the great season I am having here.”

The Portuguese star has reiterated his love for Man Utd and appears very open to returning to Old Trafford when his loan move expires this summer. “I love Manchester United.  You never know the future. It depends on a lot of things. If United want me to stay then with a different mentality, I think we can work well next season but there are a lot of things to discuss.”

It’s going to be a very interesting story to follow in the summer as United have clearly been impressed with his form, scoring 9 goals in 25 appearances, 4 of them in 6 European cup games, in the green and white hoops of Sporting Lisbon.  It’s very important to realise that he is only 28 years old, his talent and potential have never been in question as it is present in abundance.  The big question that has always been asked of him is consistency.  In big games at Manchester United, he tended to step up, as on several occasions he destroyed Arsenal but the lack of high level performances week in week out were his downfall.  However, his explosive nature and creativity to go along with his goal scoring ability, could still add freshness to a United attack that has been much too stale and slow in recent months.
