Since Gary Monk took over as the manager of Swansea, they
seem to improve every season because he gets the best out of the players he
already has by utilising their talents and brings in smart reinforcements for
the area’s that he is lacking. With that being said, here are some of the most
dangerous players that United should keep their eye on.
Bafetimbi Gomis
When Wilfred Bony left Swansea for Man City, most thought
goals would be hard to come by but Gomis has slotted perfecting into the team
as the lone striker with a goal list as long as his dreadlocks. Already a
proven forward in Ligue 1 scoring 145 goals in 398 appearance for Saint-Etienne
and Lyon, the big Frenchman has already scored a goal in each one of Swansea’s
opening games. Due to his size and strength, Gomis is so hard to push-off the
ball as he is charging through defenders, he will be an interesting challenge
for the improving Smalling and Blind partnership.
Andre Ayew
With the two Ayew brothers both coming to the Premier League
but different teams, Swansea seems to have bagged the better one. Andre Ayew
has hit the ground running bagging himself 2 goals and an assist in his opening
three games. The young Ghanaian brings pace and creativity on the sides while
still being able to dart in and be a potential goal threat with his small yet
quick frame. Will be a handful for Darmian.

Gylfi Sigurdsson
The Icelandic playmaker is entering his fifth season in the
Premier League. Despite playing 142 games Sigurdsson has only scored 29 goals,
a goal nearly every five games but his real magic comes from his vision. Last
season the tricky midfielder was ranked 4th in the league for most
assists with 10. Now with the attacking talents Swansea has with Shelvey and
Gomis and the pace on the wings with Montero and Ayew, Sigurdsson now has the
tools to become ever more dangerous, one to keep an eye on.
Swansea host Manchester United on Sunday at 4pm with both teams hoping to continue their good starts to the season.
