Hall of Fame for two United stalwarts

Manchester United legends Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs have been inducted into the Hall of Fame at the National Football Musem.

The museum is situated in Manchester and helps recognise the north-western city as the capital of football in England. Other players given the same honour at the ceremony included Norman Hunter, who was part of England’s World Cup-winning squad of 1966, and Stuart Pearce.

Between the pair of them, Giggs and Neville won twenty-one (21!) Premier League titles, as well as both of them winning the Champions League, in 1999 and again in 2008.

They are both part of the famous “Class of 92” – the group of youngsters brought through by Sir Alex Ferguson who achieved incredible success; the others include Paul Scholes, David Beckham, Nicky Butt and Gary’s brother, Phil Neville.

Whilst Gary Neville is currently a Sky Sports pundit and a coach for England, Ryan Giggs is still at Manchester United, serving as Louis van Gaal’s assistant manager. He’s helped United to third in the Premier League table so far this season – level on points with second-placed Arsenal.
