Manchester United will welcome two players back into the side for their visit to second-placed Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
Phil Jones and Ashley Young have been passed fit after playing for the Under-21s against Chelsea on Monday night and will be in contention to make the bench for Louis van Gaal’s side at White Hart Lane.

Young played the entire game for the Under-21s at Old Trafford, while Jones was withdrawn from the action with 15 minutes remaining and both trained fully with the first-team throughout the week.
Speaking to MUTV in his weekly interview, the United boss said:
Yes, they [Jones and Young] are more or less fit players because you cannot be fit after one game at a lower level. We have a big squad now, we are training with 26 people and we have to adapt to that new situation again, but it is very promising now.

Van Gaal also confirmed that Adnan Januzaj would not be involved in this weekend’s action after suffering an injury, although it is not thought to be serious:
Adnan was injured and he is still injured but he shall also come back, it is not such a heavy injury. He is not fit to play in the reserves or in the first team.
Finally, the United boss told MUTV that captain Wayne Rooney is back in full training with the first-team, but will not be fit enough to play on Sunday.
