Is the seemingly pending departure of Louis van Gaal as manager of Manchester United a shock? Not really. Is the also supposedly pending arrival of Jose Mourinho as the new Red Devils manager a shock? No. However, there could be a big one, in the shape of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
It has been known for some time now that Zlatan will move away from Paris Saint-Germain this coming summer, and his last action in a PSG shirt came on the same day as Manchester United’s FA Cup success; the Swedish international scored two goals as his side won the French equivalent.

What hasn’t been touted, until today, though, is the possibility of the elite striker taking a coaching role at Old Trafford. According to Aftonbladet of Sweden, Ibrahimovic, or Ibra as he is otherwise known, could join United as assistant manager to Jose Mourinho, whilst also playing for the club.
That would be some move. Ibrahimovic has won titles in Spain, France, Italy and the Netherlands, scoring over 450 goals in 779 appearances for club and country. He is, unsurprisingly, yet to dabble in management but there’s a first time for everything!
