José Mourinho will take charge of his first Premier League match as Manchester United manager when the Reds travel down to the South coast to face Bournemouth on Sunday.
The ‘Special One’ has already stamped his authority down on this Reds side and with it came the first piece of silverware in the Mourinho era, as Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s late winner gave United a Community Shield win over Leicester City at Wembley last weekend.
Mourinho has been involved in seven opening day Premier League fixtures during his two separate spells as Chelsea manager and United fans will be glad to hear that he has an unblemished record, winning six and drawing the remaining encounter.
United fans will also glad to hear that Mourinho’s sides have also scored plenty of goals on the opening day of the season – scoring 15 in total and they will be hoping that the Portuguese manager will be able to get the best out of United’s strikeforce on opening day, with the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Anthony Martial, Wayne Rooney and Marcus Rashford at his disposal.
