Team News: Hull City (EFL Cup second leg)

Manchester United boss José Mourinho has told MUTV that he has ‘everyone available for selection’ for the Reds’ EFL Cup semi-final second leg clash against Hull City on Thursday.

United hold a two-goal lead heading into the second leg at the KCOM Stadium but will have to be wary of complacency against Marco Silva’s side.

The only man unavailable for selection is Eric Bailly, who will be imminently returning from the African Cup of Nations in Gabon after the Ivory Coast were surprisingly knocked out at the group stages on Tuesday night.

Regarding his selection plans, Mourinho said:

Everybody is available. Bailly didn’t arrive yet but his national team had a defeat yesterday and are knocked out of the competition, so he is coming back. In this moment everybody is available and my choices will be to try to go with a team that I think can guarantee us a good match.

The United boss later confirmed in the pre-match press conference that Marcos Rojo would be available for selection as well, after the Argentine centre-back missed United’s 1-1 draw with Stoke City at the weekend.

Another doubt for this encounter is Luke Shaw, who has not featured for United since November, but he was pictured training with the first-team on Tuesday and he is being slowly eased back onto the pitch by Mourinho.
