Three United players set for FIFA Ultimate Team upgrades

EA Sports’ FIFA 17 is widely considered to be the best football video game to date.

Of its many game modes, Ultimate Team is one of, if not the most popular. In this mode, gamers play matches against one another or the CPU to win coins, which are used to buy players, in a trading card game fashion.

Manchester United’s current best eleven on Ultimate Team is rated 86 (out of 99) overall – thanks to special, boosted ‘in-form’ Pogba, Mkhitaryan and Memphis* cards, as well as a ‘Hero’ Rooney card and an even further-boosted Player of the Month Ibrahimovic card.

The best possible United squad on the game is set to get even better this month though, with the experts at ultimateteam.co.uk predicting that four Red Devils are to see their rating increased on the game.

Antonio Valencia, Marcos Rojo, Eric Bailly and Marcus Rashford have all had their rating upgraded in the game’s Career Mode – and using this, it has been predicted that the trio will receive much-anticipated winter upgrades in the game.

Antonio Valencia is set to go from a rating of 80 to 82, Rojo from 78 to 83, Bailly up one from 82 to 83 and Rashford from 76 to 77.

Here are what their Ultimate Team cards could look like if these upgrades do indeed go ahead:

28 other Premier League players are also tipped for ratings increases, with the likes of Diego Costa, Dele Alli and Virgil van Dijk all expected to have their cards upgraded.

*Memphis’ Manchester United cards are still available in the Transfer Market on Ultimate Team despite his transfer to Lyon in January.
