Manchester United are said to have reached informal agreements with Manchester City and Barcelona to play pre-season friendlies in the United States this summer.
According to James Ducker of the Telegraph, the Red Devils are set to play against Pep Guardiola’s City, as well as the Catalan giants, as part of the pre-season International Champions Cup tournament.
Ducker reports that no written agreement has been made between the clubs but there is confidence from club officials that the games will go ahead.
This would mean United playing against Barcelona at the Washington Redskins’ FedEx Field in Washington DC, where United beat Barcelona 2-1 in a pre-season friendly in 2011.

Both United and City are expected to be based on the United States’ west coast for their pre-season tour, so it is foreseen that the sides will meet somewhere over there, with July 25th being the date discussed at the moment.
