Predicted XI: Bournemouth (H)

Predicted XI: Bournemouth (H)

It’s Manchester United’s first game since being crowned EFL Cup winners last Sunday as the Reds host a struggling Bournemouth team.

The two sides haven’t faced each other since the opening day of the season when United were victorious 3-1 with goals from Juan Mata, Wayne Rooney and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Bournemouth have failed to win a single Premier League game in 2017, and have lost their last four, conceding 12 in the process. United have won their last six games in all competitions and are currently on a 16 game unbeaten run in the Premier League.

Victory could see Manchester United move out of fifth place for a few hours, depending on the Liverpool and Arsenal result on Saturday night.

Phil Jones declared himself fit for the game on Saturday but there has been no indication as to whether the English international will come back into the side. Henrik Mkhitaryan trained on Friday but Jose Mourinho has stated that he is the only player unable to feature. Jose has also confirmed that Luke Shaw will be in the match-day squad.
