Combined XI – United vs City

Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola are set to go head to head again as Manchester United take on Manchester City at the Etihad on Thursday night.

They were rival managers at Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively – and are now back in opposite dugouts in the north-west of England.

As we always do ahead of a big game, we’ve decided to come up with a combined starting eleven between players from both squads.

We’ve only included players who are fit to play in this week’s fixture.

This means that Ilkay Gundogan, David Silva, John Stones and Bacary Sagna aren’t available for City – but Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero both are, as well as Fernandinho, who has been a doubt.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Marcos Rojo, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Paul Pogba and Juan Mata are out for United, but Ander Herrera and Antonio Valencia have been confirmed as fit and ready to play.

With all of that in mind, here’s our Manchester derby combined XI… We’ve had to go with 3-4-3 to fit in all the attacking talent.
