Marouane Fellaini has today arrived back at Manchester United’s Carrington-based training ground as he starts his recovery from a knee ligament injury sustained on international duty with Belgium.
Fellaini was substituted after just 29 minutes of his country’s 4-3 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina last week, and the Belgian staff, including former Everton manager Roberto Martinez, confirmed that the midfielder had suffered ligament damage in his knee.

It is not yet known how badly Fellaini is injured or therefore how long he will be out for — but that identification and then recovery process will start at Carrington today.
It is almost certain that the Belgian, who was in good form for United before the international break, will miss the weekend’s crunch match against Liverpool at Anfield.
It is a worry for United fans as Paul Pogba is also injured, leaving United without two key men against their bitter rivals on Saturday afternoon.

Fellaini has made eight appearances this season, scoring four goals as he has really stepped up to the mark following Paul Pogba’s hamstring injury in early September, which will keep the Frenchman ruled out indefinitely.
Fellaini scored twice in United’s last match before the international break, helping the Red Devils to a 4-0 win over Crystal Palace.
