Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard has seen his fine run of form rewarded with a nomination for the Player of the Month award.
As per a report on Sky Sports, Lingard will compete with the likes of Harry Kane, Marko Arnautovic, Marcos Alonso, Nicolas Otamendi and Riyad Mahez.
Lingard has been at the heart of everything Manchester United have done well recently, playing a key role in the first-team squad.
The Englishman netted five times in the Premier League throughout December, with a particularly impressive performance away at Arsenal at the beginning of the month.
He also played a key role in United’s 2-2 draw at home to Burnley, where he scored twice to rescue a point for the Red Devils after going behind.
The winner of the award will be confirmed on January 12. Salah, who has also been nominated, won the award in November.
