Now a huge 16 points back of Manchester City in the Premier League title race, Manchester United’s focus has shifted towards the cup competitions in their pursuit of silverware.
After booking their place in the FA Cup quarter-final by beating Huddersfield 2-0 overt the weekend, United travel to Spain as they take on Sevilla in the Champions League last 16 on Wednesday.
United could be without Paul Pogba again after the midfielder was ruled out of the Huddersfield clash due to illness, while Eric Bailly could make his first start in over three months having returned to the matchday squad last time out.
Ander Herrera and Marcus Rashford could both also be available from the bench in Sevilla after missing the last couple of games with muscular complaints.
Here is our predicted XI.
David De Gea
De Gea returns after Romero started in the FA Cup.
After being rested against Huddersfield, Valencia returns to the defence.
Bailly to make his first start in several months.
With Phil Jones out, Smalling partners Bailly at the back.
Young will switch over from right to left-back.
Matic will sit in a midfield two.
Carrick may partner Matic with both Pogba and Herrera struggling.
Mata will look to link midfield with attack from the No.10 role.
Martial will likely play from the right again.
Sanchez will play off the left for United.
Lukaku will continue to lead the line.
