Ajax attacker Justin Kluivert has insisted that he is fully focused on helping his side secure titles for the time being, amid links to Barcelona and Manchester United.
The 18-year-old has really impressed since coming onto the scene in the first team across the last couple of years.
He has performed well in both the Eredivisie and the Europa League but it didn’t take long at all for speculation over his future to mount, with a host of top clubs across the continent touted with potential moves for Kluivert.
His father Patrick also played for Barcelona and there has been heavy talk that the player will do something very similar, as the Spanish giants continue to follow up the player’s progress.
He has featured in 22 games all for this season in all competitions, scoring on six different occasions from out wide.
The 18-year-old spoke about his situation in a recent interview, as quoted by Goal.
My two main goals are winning the Eredivisie title with Ajax and then making my debut for the Netherlands, and of course to keep improving.
Following the Europa League final last season, Kluivert was pictured in conversation with United boss Jose Mourinho. He has since revealed the details of the conversation.
He said it was nice to see me again after such a long time, because he had known me when I was a baby. And he said it was nice to see that I was doing well.
