United in talks to sign Alderweireld
Manchester United are in talks to sign Tottenham defender Toby Aldeweireld this summer.
According to The Mirror, Tottenham are willing to listen to offers for Alderweireld, who is refusing to sign a new deal with the club.
His current contract allows him to leave for £22m at the end of next season, with Tottenham looking to pocket far more than that for him to leave in the next few months.
The report claims that Tottenham are looking for a fee in the region of £75m, with Spurs and United currently in talks over a deal for the defender.
Alderweireld is considered one of the best central defenders in the Premier League, but has missed the majority of this season with injury.
Manchester United are wanting to improve their defence in this transfer window and see Alderweireld as the man to come in and make a difference.
The 29-year-old is set to go to the World Cup in Russia this summer with his country, Belgium.
