United keeping tabs on French prospect
Manchester United are scouting French midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, according to French outlet Le10 Sport.
Jose Mourinho wants to improve his side this summer to bridge the gap to rivals Manchester City, and taking a risk on Ndombele could prove to be a masterstroke if he lives up to his potential.
The 21-year-old has spent the season with Lyon on loan from Amiens, and his performances have shown him to be one of the brightest young talents in Europe.
Lyon recently activated a £7 million buyout clause to sign the youngster on a permanent deal.
He played a key part in helping Lyon finish third in the league as well as making it to the Europa League last 16. Ndombele played 47 times for the French side last season, assisting seven goals along the way.
The France Under-21 international plays in a defensive midfield role, and if the Red Devils signed him, Ndombele could be a key player for the next decade.
Lyon won’t want to sell having only just signed him outright but that could change should a club offer them a quick and substantial profit on their recent outlay.
