Manchester United have confirmed the signing of Diogo Dalot from Porto on a five-year-deal.
Dalot becomes United’s second summer signing after the club announced the £47million transfer of Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk yesterday.
Dalot is believed to have cost United in the region of £19million.

The 19-year-old is a Portugal under-21 international and is comfortable playing in both the right-back and left-back positions.
He arrived in England at the weekend before having a medical with United on Tuesday and the club have now confirmed that he has singed a five-year-deal.
According to ESPN, Dalot is currently recovering from a knee injury but is expected to be fit in time to join the rest of the United squad on their pre-season tour of the US next month.
Dalot spoke to MUTV about his delight at joining the club:
I’m very excited for the [size and] dimension of this club and I hope to achieve great things here.
I know that this is one of the best clubs in the world and it is unbelievable to be here and I hope to achieve great things.
United have reportedly fought off competition from Bayern Munich and Barcelona for the youngster’s signature.
