Manchester United are reportedly lining up a move for promising young defender, Joan Sastre.
The 21-year-old has established himself as an integral part of Real Mallorca’s first-team and played a key role as the club secured their promotion to Segunda A in recent times.
Sastre’s form has not gone unnoticed, either, with claims from Spanish news outlet Sport indicating that a host of clubs from the top divisions of European football are interested in acquiring him this summer.
Manchester United are named as a potential destination for Sastre, but Barcelona are also said to have expressed an interest in the promising defender, who is known to operate at right-back primarily.
The Red Devils recently landed FC Porto defender Diogo Dalot, who is a similarly promising player and also plays on the right-hand side of defence.
However, it seems United are continuing to plan for the future and have identified Sastre as a potential signing. A stay in Spain may be on the cards, though, with Barca and Real Madrid also reportedly keen.
