Manchester United are reportedly set to offer Luke Shaw a new contract, amidst continuing speculation regarding his future.
Shaw arrived at Old Trafford in 2014 as a fresh-faced eighteen-year-old from Southampton, but has struggled in four seasons to make an impression.
Making just 43 appearances for United since signing, the now 22-year-old had understandably been linked with a move away from Salford.

However, the Manchester Evening News report that manager Jose Mourinho is set to offer Shaw a new contract.
The Red Devils triggered a one-year extension in Shaw’s contract to keep him in Manchester until the end of the 2018/19 season, but it seems the club have plans for the left-back beyond then.
After Juventus gave United a £60 million asking-price for full-back Alex Sandro, the club have started to look at options closer to home.
Ashley Young is still considered to be the first choice left-back for United, but at the age of 32, Mourinho must start planning for seasons ahead.
