Manchester United have confirmed that Alexis Sanchez has joined the squad in America for the club’s pre-season tour.
Sanchez, who had been denied a visa for the United States as a result of tax fraud, is in LA with the team and could make an appearance against San Jose Earthquakes on Sunday.
With Mourinho confirming that the likes of Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford will miss the Premier League curtain-raiser against Leicester City due to an extended break after the World Cup, it is imperative that Sanchez gets minutes ahead of the new season.

Speaking in his first press conference since arriving in the US, Mourinho had the following to say:
It’s important to work with Mata, Martial and Alexis as they will be the players we think that will start our season in attack.
Sanchez could be involved against San Jose Earthquakes; most likely at the expense of Demetri Mitchell, who started against Club America in United’s opening game of the tour.
In addition, Mourinho has confirmed that David de Gea, Nemanja Matic & new-signing Fred will not join the squad until next week.
In the coming games, United fans could see more of Tahith Chong who impressed against Club America. Chong was involved in United’s equaliser and certainly did not look out of his depth.
