Manchester United recently announced the signing of Brazilian midfielder Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk in a deal worth £52m.
In spite of this, the club continues to be linked with a host of midfield players; the latest of which is Chilean midfielder, Arturo Vidal.
According to Italian outlet Calciomercato, German giants Bayern Munich are ready to part ways with Vidal, with United now looking at signing the player.
It is thought that a fee of around £35m would be enough to secure his signature, with his contract at the Allianz Arena expiring next summer.
There have been question marks over Vidal’s fitness in recent times but, despite his advancing years, he could be a useful addition to the squad at Jose Mourinho’s disposal.
Once nicknamed, ‘the Warrior’, Vidal could help to add some much-needed bite to United’s pool of midfield option.
In addition, he is renowned for his versatility and could be employed in a number of positions.
