Wolves are reportedly close to finalising a deal for Manchester United’s Argentinean centre-back Marcos Rojo.
The Telegraph are reporting that in order to bring in new signings to bolster the defence, Jose Mourinho will first have to sell, and it seems Rojo will be the first to get the bullet.
He was signed in 2014 by Louis Van Gaal after impressing at the 2014 World Cup as Argentina finished as runners-up but his Old Trafford career has been overshadowed by several injuries.
It it believed that a fee of £25m will be enough to clinch a deal to bring Rojo to Molineux as Wolves look to continue their impressive Summer recruitment.
Moreover, it seems Matteo Darmian will follow Rojo out of the club after he reiterated his intention to leave in search of more regular football.
It is likely that Darmian will be third choice when Antonio Valencia and new-signing Diogo Dalot are both back to full fitness, and a return to his native country could be an option.
I still want to leave, that’s what I want, But we will see what happens. We don’t know. A return to Italy could be an option.
Serie A sides Juventus and Inter Milan continue to be linked with a move for Darmian.
