Manchester United are interested in signing Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng on a season-long loan deal.
Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol claims that United are not prepared to pay a big fee for Boateng, given his injury record in recent seasons.

Boateng has missed 27 games through injury for Bayern Munich since December 2016, leaving concerns over his fitness.
Sky Sports claim that Boateng is United’s number one target ahead of England’s transfer deadline at 5pm on Thursday.
Bayern are thought to be open to the idea of letting Boateng, with the club having until the end of the month to sign a replacement for the German international.
The 29-year-old was considered one of the best central defenders in Europe a few seasons ago and has yet to find his form again following a number of long-term injuries.
