United star Martial offered new deal to ward off Juventus interest
Anthony Martial is set to be offered a big new deal at Old Trafford as the club look to ward off interest from Juventus.
According to reports in Italy, Juventus are keen to snap up the French international on a free transfer at the end of his deal.
Martial’s new deal is believed to be worth around £8-£9 million a year, with his current deal set to expire in 2019.
Chelsea were heavily linked with a move to sign Martial throughout the summer transfer window when it looked like Willian could be on his way out of Stamford Bridge.
It had been suggested that the two could switch clubs, with Jose Mourinho a known admirer of the Brazilian.
United were very keen to sign Willian, but Chelsea refused to do business unless Martial would head in the opposite direction.
Martial has endured a mixed time at Old Trafford under Jose Mourinho and has often been linked with moves away in the past.
